Solid Wood Flooring
Cherry Solid Wood Flooring
Other than its durability and warm glow, cherry flooring is also well known thanks to its alluring aging process. Light golden cherry solid wood flooring can darken to a red-brown tone in about a year, depending on the exposure of light.
Cherry solid wood flooring comes in two grades: natural and prime. Prime grade refers to a more "perfect" appearance so there is less color variation, minimal solid knots, and lighter grain patterns in these cherry floors, while the natural grade is cherry flooring with greater character.
There are also different kinds of cherry wood such as cherry oak and black cherry. In terms of finish, cherry solid wood flooring can be oiled, satin lacquered, or unfinished. Coming only in the medium shade, its standard thickness is 20mm, but widths vary according to manufacturer and make.
