Blistering in laminate floors

January 30th, 2012

Q: What causes blisters on laminate flooring? My floor was laid just over a year ago and blisters have been gradually appearing and growing on aprox 7 boards. The flooring used was Florence 7mm oak plank v groove with barrier plus underlay.

A: The blistering you describe sounds like it could be caused by the laminate flooring getting wet. If you bought your flooring from UK Flooring Direct then please sent through images of the problem so that I can better understand the issue and advise you accordingly.
