Laminate wood flooring question
February 17th, 2012
Q: We are looking to use laminate flooring over about 35 sq meter long, diner and kitchen, would standard laminate be ok to go in the kitchen as risk of getting some water on it? We are also considering engineered flooring, would it make a huge difference to the feel/look of the flooring and which would you recommend to be better? Also which underlay would be best to use?
A: Laminate flooring is quite suitable for the afore mentioned areas, although water will always be its enemy if it is left to stand. You must adhere to the manufactures guide leaflets supplied in all packaging for the best care of your flooring products, be it laminate or engineered.I would recommend both of these products, but it is your choice that counts at the end of the day. All of our underlays are suitable for these products, and our sales team will be pleased to assist you with further recommendations for what product is best for your chosen floor and subfloor combination.
