Q. Hi there, what is the difference between brushed & oiled and lacquered flooring? Is there a quality or maintenance difference? I'm looking to use this throughout the downstairs of my house, including in kitchen, I have 2 cats and a toddler so wish to know which would be best?

Question: If I install Black Oak Engineered Flooring, will it be as durable and strong as the natural solid oak flooring? Is there any specific disadvantage of using engineered oak flooring instead of the real hard wood oak flooring? Will I face any problem installing the flooring and are there any requirements of specific surface for them?
