Q: I have purchased Galleria Solid European Fumed Oak 180mm HPPC Oiled Flooring and I am wondering if it can be laid directly on to a riven slate floor with the Fast Fit Peel and stick underlay? Alternatively, would I be better to lift the slate floor?

Common Problems with Laminate Flooring
[September 23rd, 2010]
Question: I have laminated floors, and though they are still looking magnificent, I am afraid it would not be very long before they can get damaged. You see, I can be pretty messy, especially in the kitchen. Since I have children to take care of, I have to bring them in the kitchen. Most of the times I can’t notice that they have been playing around, and most of the flour and water are already in the laminated floors. I get to clean them right away, though. Am I doing the right thing? What are laminated flooring problems that I should worry about?
