There are a number of beech laminate flooring products to choose from, offering customers a selection of different styles, designs, thicknesses, strengths and shades to pick from, with these coming from several different manufacturers. Quick Step, Pergo and Uniclic Loc Floor all contribute to this selection.
Beech is a pale wood and the laminates available reflect this, although there is substantial variation around this theme, with brighter and duller shades, a choice between pronounced markings and very few features and the visual effects of some having a smooth surface and others pronounced joins and bevelled edges.
Beech Laminate Flooring Plank
Those seeking plank flooring products can pick between eight of these, made either by Pergo or Quick Step.
Quick Step offers a choice between varnished and natural effect laminates, with both having AC4 grade laminate and a 20-year warranty. The natural effect brand has a thickness of 7 mm and width of 190 mm, whereas the varnished comes with 8 mm of thickness and 156 mm width.
Pergo’s products are all either 196 mm, 198 mm or 200 mm wide, with lifetime warranties on its AC4, AC5 and AC6 grade commercial laminate.
All the plank products come with flat edges that ensure a smoothed surface with no notable join marks. All are assembled with the SmartLock Click System.
Beech Laminate Flooring V Groove
When it comes to choosing flooring, V groove laminate products may be popular with many. These have bevelled edges, known as V grooves, which produce pronounced joints between the planks of the floor, with the result being a distinctive style and a marked visual effect.
The two V groove products in this category are both made by Quick Step. Both come with 9.5 mm thickness and 156 mm width, bevelled edges, AC4 grade material with a 20-year warranty and a Uniclic Installation system. Although these products are similar in most respects, the 2V is slightly darker in colour than the 4V.
3 Strip Beech Laminate Flooring
These follow the same pattern as other 3 strip floors, where the surface of the floor is split into three staves, with this producing a pattern like bricks in the wall as the planks are fairly short. Such a distinct pattern may appeal to many.
Commercial Beech Laminate Flooring
Anyone after commercial laminate flooring will have three products to choose from, each of which has a distinctive appearance but tough laminate possessing a lifetime warranty. These laminates are grade AC5 or AC6, the toughest available. This makes them suitable for large commercial premises such as large stores, or public buildings.
Pergo’s pale but bright product has few markings and all of these commercial products are 11 mm thick and have widths of 193 to 196 mm.
