Environmental Policy
We at UK Flooring Direct understand the impact that any commercial business can have on the environment and it is for that reason that we try to reduce our waste and overall carbon footprint. It is also through these practices that we can also reduce our cost. We have adopted the following practices with in the organisation:
- Recycling of packaging where possible
- The reuse of wooden pallets.
- The safe disposal of non-recyclable waste.
- Heating our buildings in a controlled manner
- Turning off lights when rooms are not in use.
- Careful planning of delivery routes to maximise the efficiency of each vehicle.
We are also acutely aware of the deforestation occuring in certain areas of the world and the need to move the flooring industry towards sustainable resources. We are constantly updating our product protfolio for products that carry the FSC or PEFC standard.
