Laminate
1. The protective top layer or overlay
This special developed transparent layer has a specific cellulose structure and is impregnated with resin. This creates a very high wear-resistance.
2. The design layer
Photograph of real wood or tiles printed onto paper which is embedded in resin, shows a variety of attractive and very natural patterns.
3. The water resistant glued HDF board
This High Density Fibreboard has a very high-density and is water resistant glued. This gives the board a relative moisture-resistance character. This kind of board is better than the normal chipboard or MDF board because it has a higher solidity and a better shock-resistance.
4. The resin under layer
This layer, embedded in resin, is made up of melamine which creates a moisture-resistant under layer for the floor
Alloc Laminate
Unlike most laminate floors that only have 4 different layers Alloc has an amazing 8 layers

Engineered HDF Core
1. Top Layer of chosen finish usually 6 coats of lacquer or oil.
2. Wear layer ranges from 2.5mm to 3.5mm (can be sanded 3-5 times respectively).
3. HDF Core section gives stability and shape retention and allows for intergration of the Uniclic system.
4. Stabilising layer of 1.0mm spruce minimising movement from seasonal change.
Engineered Softwood Core
1. Top Layer of chosen finish which usually 6 coats of lacquer or oil.
2. Wear layer ranges from 2.5mm to 4mm (can be sanded 3-6 times respectively).
3. Softwood core section gives stability and shape retention.
4. Stabilising layer of 1.0mm spruce minimising movement from seasonal change.
Engineered Plywood Core
1. Top Layer of chosen finish which usually 6 coats of lacquer or oil.
2. Wear layer ranges from 3.5mm to 6mm (can be sanded 6-10 times respectively).
3. Core section of plywood gives superior stability and strength making it ideal for use over underfloor heating and as a structual floor on to joists.
4. Stabilising layer of spruce minimising movement from seasonal change.
Solid Construction
Solid Floors are made up from one piece of hardwood timber. Standard thickness is 15mm, 18mm and 20mm with widths varying from 90mm up to 180mm. The boards are either pre-finished with lacquer or oil although you can also have the floor unfinished.
