The Florence laminate flooring range is a small but exclusive range of high-quality laminate flooring products, offering a variety of attractive wood-effect planking products that come with a 20-year warranty, this lengthy duration reflecting the fact that many these floors are made of AC4 grade laminate. This is a tough material that is well-suited to environments like commercial premises with a significant amount of foot traffic. Others are made from AC3, which is designed for home use in all areas except bathrooms.
Florence range laminates come in thicknesses of seven, eight, ten or 12 mm, while the planking is mostly either 188 or 193 mm wide, depending on the product.
The majority of the wood effect laminates in the range are oak, reflecting the popularity of this style, but those seeking something different can also find a dark grey coloured Pine and a rich, dark brown Wenge and Walnut, which features a mix of distinctive dark and light wood markings.
Another choice that those looking at the Florence range can make is between squared edges - which are designed to create a smooth floor that makes the joins virtually seamless – and bevelled edges, which create a greater sense of dimension by having pronounced joints between each plank and therefore emphasising the definitions of the planking. This enables two quite different tastes to be catered for when it comes to the feel of a floor.
Some of the floors available are also textured, with knots, grains and other natural wood features deliberately given prominence. This contrasts with the alternative, where the surface is smooth but still shows the features that would normally be associated with natural wood.
Florence Laminate Oak Flooring
The Florence laminate oak flooring range makes up the greater part of the Florence selection. Among these there is much variety, with the choice being between smooth floors and textured ones, as well as between seamless joins and bevelled, distinctive edges.
Oak floors in this range include both AC3 and AC4 grade laminate, with the shades, tones and level of markings varying. For instance, those who prefer a pale oak without many distinctive markings may opt for the Camarge or Amarone varieties, whereas those wanting a pale shade with more notable features could pick the Cavallo. For a very pale shade, the Flooring Diamond, a textured but smooth-edged product that is almost white, is a notable option. This has 8 mm thick and 193 mm wide planking, with standard board lengths of 1,380 mm.
If the preference is for a product with contrasting tones, the best one to choose may be the Chocolate Oak Plank V Groove. This offers a mixture of light and dark swirls in its pattern, as well as narrower planks than most in the Florence range at 116 mm and V-groove bevelled edges, which are designed to produce particularly visible joins between the planks. It comes in AC4 grade material, which makes it suitable for commercial properties.
As ever, all the products in this range come with the click system installation and most come with 20-year warranties.
