UKFD Carpets

Our own brand UKFD carpets are made to the highest standards and are aimed at providing you with additional choice when it comes to selecting a carpet for your home. We specialise in Berber carpets, which are characterised by having looped ends and a deep, warm, cosy feel.

We offer several products in this range, each of which is made entirely of wool. This means that you can be sure of enjoying a totally organic product that is sourced from sheep in the UK, with the natural and renewable qualities blending with the warmth that can sustain an animal through a cold winter, brought to your home. The softness and time-honoured appeal of wool also means that such a style of carpet is unlikely to go out of fashion, despite the development of new, synthetic materials.

The loops in our particular Berber carpets are large and coarse, providing a rustic feel rather than the synthetic neatness that might be expected with a carpet made from an artificial material. In doing this, the style of the flooring may go a long way to emphasising its green and natural qualities.

Our Berber carpets also come in a series of neutral shades. While these vary from brown to white on the colour spectrum, each shade available offers subtle differences from the others. Overall, this makes such carpet suitable for rooms where the decor is not overstated with bright, artificial colours. Instead, the natural colours go well with the style and organic content, which may make them best for rooms in which natural shades and materials such as wood are prominent.

A closer inspection of the colours shows that these are not uniform, with the rustic element reflected here by the fact that, rather than have a monotone, uniform hue, the carpets display tufts with greater or lesser quantities of darker or lighter strands, with hints of orange, red, black, gold or other colours making a slight impact. However, there are no blues, greens or other colours that might create too much of a contrast with the overall theme.

Our products come in four metre widths and all have five-year warranties, ensuring you have peace of mind when buying the carpet with the knowledge that it can be replaced if anything goes wrong.

The installation of these carpets will require the use of a carpet gripper, which you will need to pre-install and nail to the subfloor. An underlay will also be needed to make sure the carpet is comfortable underfoot and may also offer greater insulation and sound-proofing as well. Door bars will also be required at the doorways.

We sell all of these accessories and by using these and following the instructions, you will be able to enjoy the benefits of a modern, attractive carpet made using a traditional, natural material and made in a popular style to a very high standard. Should you choose one of our own brand carpets, you may look forward to enjoying many years of comfort and luxury with an attractive, high-quality item.
