Holmes magazine, known as ‘the manual for every homeowner’, said: “The key to a cleaner home this spring is summed up with one word: Carpet.”
The magazine advocates synthetic fibres for carpets in areas where there is expected to be a lot of wear and tear as they are generally more durable than natural styles and they are also much easier to clean for general maintenance and when accidents occur.
However those with allergies are advised to go down the route of natural carpet, which is less likely to cause a sensitive reaction.
