Cork flooring on show in home tour
30th November 2009
It will be on display during the hosting of the English Lutheran Church of Bateman's 38th Holiday Tea and Home Tour on December 5th, which sees houses opened up to the public before a fundraising tea takes place at the church hall, Chippewa.com reports.
Cork flooring is part of a modern three-storey eco-home that has the material in its kitchen, along with a number of other green elements.
Parts of the house also have cherry hardwood flooring, while there are led lights embedded in it and radiant floor heating in place.
The residence also has recycled elements such as reclaimed slates on its roof.
Cork flooring was praised last week by Women24's DIY and decor expert Janice Anderssen for its renewable nature, as well as for the fact that it offers a "sensible style".
