Olympic flooring contract for firm
A specialist supplier of safety floors has won a prestigious contract to produce some of the flooring required for the upcoming 2012 Olympics.
In order to effectively accommodate the high number of international athletes arriving at Heathrow Airport this summer a temporary terminal will be set up, and J&A Stevenson.
The anti-slip flooring will also be installed at other Olympic venues, such as the parts of the accommodation area and Aquatic Centre.
The contract is likely to create publicity for the Telford based manufacturer and supplier, which specialise in platforms, ramps and anti-slip flooring solutions.
It will be an important job for the company as all eyes will be on the Olympics this summer, although the performance of the floors is unlikely to be watched as closely as the performance of the athletes.
Resilience and endurance will be tested to the limit with such high foot traffic but the anti-slip floors are specially designed for these specifications.
