Sad end for vinyl store

After 60 years in business an American flooring retailer will close for the final time at the end of next month.

The Hobbs Linoleum Tile and Carpet store was run by Dick Hobbs who recently passed away, resulting in the retailer closing down in June.

The flooring shop had always been a family business, it was opened by Mr Hobbs’ father and his brothers and children also worked in the store.

The remaining stock is being sold at a discounted price at the Colorado store which sells a huge range of carpets, tiles, rugs and specialist floors.

Mr Hobbs’s daughter, Sherri Easton, worked as the store’s manager and is said to have made the decision because the business wasn’t the same after the loss of her father.
