UV technology is the future
UV technology is now more readily available than ever for finishing wooden floors which are intended for heavy use.
Although UV technology has been recognised in the flooring industry for some time now it was previously reserved for the use of industry professionals.
Now the technology is becoming more readily available for any onsite finishing, and it is becoming more practical as well.
This could mean that more durable floors are achievable at a lower cost and in a fraction of the time that it would previously have taken.
Finishing an onsite wood floor could previously been time consuming, when factoring in the drying process as well, however with the new advances in equipment this is no longer the case.
With new machinery available now floors can be refinished during the course of an evening and the floor will then be ready to be used the following morning.
Using a UV lamp machine will also provide up to four times as much protection as the usual dual component varnish.
