Allow time when cleaning wood flooring, experts advise

Experts at the UK Flooring Direct blog explained that the material, like linoleum and vinyl flooring, needs to be left alone if cleaners are to take effect.
While carpets often soak up cleaning fluid instantly, it needs time to work on other types of flooring, they explained.
Those attempting to clean any stains were also advised to be aware of the most appropriate method, with blotting considered to be the best course of action for fabrics.
The experts explained that although wood flooring can be rubbed clean, fibres can be broken down by this process and care should be taken to avoid this.
Homemaking expert Martha Stewart, writing for HeraldNet, recently suggested that a simple solution of vinegar and water can be the best way to clean wood flooring, although she recommended that those who have reclaimed wood contact the manufacturer for advice.
