Bamboo hardwood flooring a feature of modern home
Bamboo hardwood flooring is one of the notable aspects of a home for sale in Aberdeenshire.

The Old Coach House in Montrose is an historic structure made from stone but with modern features, the Press and Journal notes.

"Floors gleam and work surfaces sparkle at the eye-catching home thanks to bamboo flooring and Corian worktops," the paper states.

It also has modern components such as double glazing, central heating and halogen lighting.

The paper's other features home also has hardwood flooring, with the first floor flat for sale in Bucksburn having solid oak flooring in its main living areas.

It forms part of a residence with an impressive decor according to the publication, which said the owners have a "flair for interior design".

Wooden flooring may be a popular choice in the north-east of Scotland, as recent details of parliamentary expenses claims obtained by the Daily Record showed that MP for Aberdeen North Frank Doran made a claim for the installation of one in his constituency residence.
