Boost in China's flooring market

Boost in China

While recent news for flooring retailers has largely focused on the negative aspects, a wood flooring firm in China has recorded a huge profit growth.

British high street flooring stores have clearly suffered with the recession, and recent news about Floors 2 Go and Topps Tiles show that the difficult period isn’t over yet.

However, China Flooring Holdings Limited has had great success over the first six months of the year with a 14.5% revenue increase compared to 2010.

The company recorded revenue of $109million, which is certainly a triumph in the current economic climate; although the firm’s president believes that the recession is coming to an end.

The success of the solid wood flooring company was also attributed to increased demand for their branded products and expansion of several areas of the business.

This good news will be welcomed in the Chinese flooring market as investigations continue in to the imported engineered flooring in the US.

Hopefully the boost in the economy will start to become apparent across the global flooring market soon.
