Brand new timber event
A brand new event has brought the timber industry together in the Midlands to allow the exchange of ideas and contacts for those in the industry.
There has never previously been an event designed to focus entirely on timber so this year has been an exciting first time exhibition.
One of the main priorities of the two-day event was to address issues with sustainability and the environmental impact involved in the timber trade.
This follows on from the news that the Qatar world cup preparations will also have a focus on sustainability as the construction industry becomes more conscious of environmental impact.
Not only has the Timber Expo featured a wealth of information about the benefits of timber and networking opportunities, there were also a range of conferences and seminars.
Exhibitors included international timber suppliers as well as companies who were more focused on laminate products.
The event drew professionals from a variety of sectors which use timber, most notably the flooring industry.
