A revolutionary carpet recycling scheme which was created by InterfaceFlor has now been launched in Europe in order to expand the project.

The ReEntry 2.0 system splits the carpet in to individual components which can then be recycled to make new carpets with eco-friendly benefits.

InterfaceFlor’s system means that substantially less waste carpet has to be disposed of at landfill sites than was previously the case.

This method also uses much less energy than would be involved in making a carpet from scratch, increasing the environmental benefits.

The ReEntry 2.0 system will start to be used at the company’s Netherlands base initially, although it is hoped that the project will continue to expand and become more accessible.
