Charity floor donation
A commercial flooring company has proved that there is more to the business than just profits and sales by donating flooring to charity.
The company were given the opportunity to put some flooring to good use when a non-profit organisation – called charity: water – needed flooring for their offices.
ECOsurfaces Commercial Flooring was able to donate a huge 2,500 square feet of their floor ‘River Rock’ for the charity’s head office.
The ECOstone River Rock floor was installed in the Manhattan offices and uses sophisticated design technology to mimic the appearance of marble.
The product is ideal for commercial flooring as it is a very durable option which can easily withstand the pressures of a busy office environment.
Charity: water is a project which provides access to clean water for over a million people across the globe and ECOsurfaces wanted to support the good cause.
The company has put emphasis upon recycling and sustainable flooring for many years, even prior to the current publicity fuelled campaign for more environmentally-conscious floors.
Many companies, including UK Flooring Direct, have invested heavily in supplying eco-friendly flooring and recycling waste so this news is the latest step in the green direction for flooring.
