Closure for commercial flooring firm

Closure for commercial flooring firm

A further flooring casualty of the current financial circumstances has been announced with job losses across the UK effective immediately.

The flooring company was founded over 150 years ago and had three business premises across the UK where redundancies have had to be made.

Over one hundred members of staff have been left without a job and very few have been kept on to assist in the process of winding the business down.

Stuarts Industrial Flooring went in to administration on Thursday citing the economic climate for the closure.

The difficult state of the construction industry has also been a big factor for the company and the firm’s profits clearly faced problems at the same time as the industry.

The company was thought to be the largest concrete flooring specialist in the UK but it had posted considerable trading losses recently.

It is likely that the domestic flooring sector will feel the force of any financial growth before the commercial industry because businesses are likely to remain cautious.
