Flooring should always be one of the main considerations when drawing up plans for a new kitchen, the celebrity designers Colin and Justin have advised.
Describing one of their recent jobs, the duo told Canada's Your Home magazine that clients often overlook the importance of picking the right material for a floor.
For example, in a recent case, while tiling flooring can be good, when it comes to introducing an open concept into a home, wooden flooring or vinyl flooring can often give a greater sense of continuity from one room into another.
Specifically, Colin and Justin explained of the recent job: "To [achieve] this we dispensed with the cold ceramic tiling and replaced it with flexible Amtico, a warm underfoot vinyl compound product that has extra resilience and is therefore particularly suitable for application in high-traffic areas."
This latest advice from the authors of the Home Heist book comes just days after the Liberty Vindicator newspaper in Texas reported that the state's new Geraldine Humphries Library, in the town of Liberty, is to be remodelled, with vinyl flooring to be put into place and new facilities introduced.
