Cork flooring 'aids balance' of Yoga studio

Eagle News writer Chel Freeman went to a Yoga session at the Yoga Sanctuary in Punta Gorda, Florida and noted how the room was designed.
"The studio is smallish with completely bare, yellow, walls, cork flooring and two strategically placed plants" she observed, adding the single candle and natural light help the room to appear completely "balanced".
People installing cork flooring in their own homes may themselves find it helps add to the ambience of the room it is fitted in, with its natural and organic qualities possibly aiding it in doing this.
The virtues of cork have been displayed in a roadshow touring the US and Canada recently, on behalf of the Portuguese cork industry body Apcor.
Late last month it made a stop in Canada's largest city, Toronto.
