Cork flooring 'among best items at show'
5th February 2010
Giving its assessment of the wares on offer, Builder Magazine criticised some of the items on show, but said this year has also produced some "exciting items", which it said included "cool corks".
In addition to this, there were some good bamboo and wood products as well.
This included praise for Enviro Hardwood, which has been recovered from a lake in South America as an alternative to felling trees.
Praise from the magazine for the quality of cork products may encourage some people to have a look at the material and investigate its qualities further.
Among buildings that have recently had cork flooring installed is the public library in Townsend, Massachusetts, Nasho Publishing recently reported.
The acoustic effects and the low-impact qualities of the soft material were among the qualities of cork noted in the article.
