Cork flooring awareness campaign to start in Canada
17th June 2010
The Portuguese Cork Association (PCA) has hired DDB Canada to run the campaign, which is aimed at ensuring the public and businesses know all about cork's green features as well as its other attributes.
Managing director of DDB Martine Levy said: "With cork flooring, style and sustainability go hand-in-hand. This programme provides us with a creative opportunity to communicate cork's unique attributes to consumers and retailers."
The image of cork as an "eco-chic" product will be emphasised in the campaign, which DDB was chosen to run after the PCA reviewed ten possible candidate agencies.
Earlier this month, home renovation expert Kim Cook of the Associated Free Press wrote in a Canadian newspaper that cork is becoming more fashionable.
She told readers of the Winnipeg Free Press that the product is being increasingly used by those carrying out a domestic makeover.
