The presence of cork flooring has been noted as a feature of a home improvement show where all things green have been taking centre stage.
NBC 11 News noted that the Improvement and Remodelling Expo in Grant Junction, Colorado, which finished yesterday (March 7th) featured cork flooring alongside a wide range of environmentally-friendly items.
Others included recycled tiles and solar panels as many of the 95 vendors exhibiting their goods set out to demonstrate how green the home can be.
Another item noted by the news provider is a carpet made out of corn by Mohawk Floorz.
Owner of the firm Ron Gookin remarked: "You can't stain this product. So it's a great, great product and it's priced for everybody's budget."
Another show featuring cork flooring is the upcoming Buffalo Home & Garden Show, which will showcase a Tuscan-style villa with the material in its floors, the Buffalo News reported last week.
