Cork flooring qualities praised

Writing for Bigger Pockets, Jim Simcoe stated that cork is "beautiful, durable, comfortable and offers a resilient alternative to traditional floors."
He added: "Cork is truly a renewable resource as it is made by removing the bark of the Cork Oak," noting that this grows back and can be reharvested.
Mr Simcoe added that cork is durable, resists mould and mildew, comfortable to walk on because of its springiness, is a good insulator and is simple to install.
He said he recommends the material to his clients because it is regarded as an upgrade, something that can boost the value of a home.
Cork flooring is the best material for a kitchen because it is soft on the feet and hard to dent, Sales manager of flooring firm Divine Hardwood Daryl Stayura told the Calgary Sun earlier this month.
