Correct tools required for flooring installation, experts note

Homeowners considering the installation of new flooring have been advised to ensure they have the correct tools.

Experts at the UK Flooring Direct blog explained that putting down a new structure can be "complicated and difficult" and that the right equipment is essential.

Different types of flooring require different tools, they noted, with a circular saw, utility knives, hammers and measuring tapes often necessary when fitting wood flooring.

For refinishing, various sanders and sandpapers may be required to ensure an effective job, while those laying carpet will need to have access to a stretcher.

"Quality flooring tools can make your job of installation easier and efficient as well as more professional in nature," they stated.

Interiors expert Kelly Carrell recently suggested that installing vinyl flooring is a relatively easy task.

Writing for the Daily Herald, she explained that the inexpensive material can help homeowners give their property a new look.
