Cream of pink for cork bathroom flooring
17th September 2010
Despite the name, it is not an off-white colour but a deep shade of pink, offering a contrast to the natural golden brown hue of cork commonly seen in uses such as wine bottle stoppers.
The tiles are 4 mm thick and 30 mm square, with flat edges on all sides to create a smooth look.
It has a cream stain - hence the name - topped with a lacquer for high protection, helping to ensure it can deal with the various tests of being a bathroom flooring material.
Cork may be a valued choice for bathrooms because of its warm feel and the springiness of the material, which makes it gentler on bare feet.
Other shades of pink-stained cork in the Florence range are available, including the slightly lighter White version, while the Silver is much darker and the Snow is a pale colour.
