Wood flooring has been used by one couple to help integrate a new kitchen design, it has been noted.
According to the Sacramento Bee, dark oak flooring was chosen by Terry Wenner and Helen Hobart.
The pair chose to remodel their property in order to make it more sustainable and installed a number of features, including subfloor heating in the bathroom in order to reduce energy consumption in the morning.
And after considering bamboo and laminate flooring, they opted for oak in order to match the home's living room and allow the new kitchen to blend in.
