Consulting a designer can prove to be helpful for homeowners planning to remodel a kitchen, an expert has noted.
Writing for the Lakewood Observer, homes specialist William Hodge explained that a professional can be consulted over many aspects of the room.
New flooring is among the key considerations when embarking on such a project, he stated, along with cabinets, sinks and appliances.
"Remodeling a kitchen is a major expenditure, so you'll want to get it right the first time," said Mr Hodge, adding that although various options all look good in pictures, there are reasons they differ in price.
Earlier this week, home design consultant Cindy Lee Bergersen suggested that wood flooring is an ideal choice for the kitchen for those who enjoy cooking.
Writing for Hamptons.com, she explained that these floors "have a little give", so are better for standing on for long periods of time than stone or tile.
