Homeowners in the United Arab Emirates are increasingly choosing innovative new methods of choosing floor designs, it has been observed.
According to the Middle East North Africa Financial Network, digital technology is playing a part in the choices of a number of people.
The news source explained that graphic designs allow for flexible and durable flooring that is being seen as high quality.
Erno Nemeth of German floor manufacturer Parador added that consumers are looking for "new visual options" and ways to customise flooring.
"Computers allow innovative textures and shapes to be designed, a new form of aesthetic that cannot be created through traditional techniques," he said.
Parador's most popular product in the region is laminate flooring and a recent study by Reportlinker.com predicted that demand for it is also set to rise in the US.
The firm forecast annual growth of 12 per cent until 2013, contributing significantly to an overall increase in sales of decorative laminates.
