Events firm chosen to supply carpet for shows

UBM International Media has chosen the firm to provide its carpets, furnishings, pavilions, electrical gear and other items for its Health Ingredients Europe 2010 and Natural Ingredients Europe 2010 events, which take place from November 16th to 18th, Event Magazine reports.
The events will be held at the IFEMA centre in the Spanish capital and are a continuation of a lengthy partnership between the two companies.
Melville chief executive Nick Marshall said: "We are committed to developing our service offering into mainland Europe and with UBM being such a key player in the European market, this represents an important step forward for us."
The visual importance of carpets may have been highlighted this week by a photographic display noting the psychadelic nature of the floor coverings in Las Vegas casinos.
Photographer Chris Maluszynski's collection of pictures of the carpets indicate how these have been designed to keep people awake and lively and therefore prone to go on gambling instead of going to bed, the Daily Mail reported.
