Firm offers online vinyl flooring advice

A US-based flooring manufacturer has launched a new website aimed at providing consumers with advice on buying products such as vinyl flooring.

Mannington Mills has created the portal with help from interactive advertising agency Kurani Interactive.

User experience director at Kurani Alan Mazzan said: "Choosing the right floor can be a hard decision, we made it simpler."

The portal offers a range of information sources on a number of issues, from where to find stores to what types of flooring to buy.

Luxury vinyl flooring is one of Mannington Mills' own items that those visiting the portal may seek advice over, with the company also making laminate flooring and hardwood flooring.

British vinyl flooring firm James Halstead reported this week that it has enjoyed a record year despite the recession.

The manufacturer, based near Manchester, recorded a rise in income and profits compared to last year, with the former up from £158.7 million to £169.3 million and the latter rising from £29.9 million to £33 million.
