A locking system for engineered flooring is proving popular with those involved in the building trade around the world, it has been suggested.
Timberwise, the manufacturer that created the technique, explained that its Single Plank flooring incorporates the WiseLoc click system.
According to the Finnish company, high-density fibreboard strips are included on the edges of planks and these ensure that boards fit together perfectly.
As a result, Timberwise explained that engineered flooring can be installed quickly and easily by one person - offering savings in terms of both time and money.
"With sheer simplicity and technical precision, the WiseLoc system utilises a 'spring-loaded' moving tongue that locks each head-joint into position," it stated, adding that the technique has been "accepted with confidence by the trade".
Last week, the Chattanooga Times Free Press noted that a new Spray-Lock adhesive had been created in the US, with the man behind the product suggesting that it could revolutionise the flooring industry.
