Go vertical with Westhollow bamboo

Those looking to install bamboo flooring may be interested in the Solid Vertical bamboo flooring product from Westhollow.

Coming in a pale shade of bamboo, the product has vertically-aligned slats of bamboo and the effect is that of a light-coloured floor with a series of thin stripes of slightly darker tone running down its length.

The effect is created by the bamboo canes being cut into narrow strips, soaked in resin and then hard-pressed together with laminate.

By doing this, the result is a different visual image from that created by horizontally-aligned bamboo.

A satin lacquer has been added on top to give the floor a light-reflective sheen.

Coming in 15 mm thick planks and tongue and groove installation, the item has a 30-year warranty.

At present, this bamboo flooring product is the only one of its kind that is in stock, as the Westhollow Premium Carbonised bamboo flooring product has proved so popular it has sold out.

However, there will be new deliveries of this in due course to provide further choice.
