Grey flooring is a hit
Grey real wood flooring is looking to be the fashionable choice of the season with support from famous designers and clearly on-trend in flooring exhibitions.
The grey flooring is similar to the neutral trends which have dominated the market for the past few years, yet the slightly metallic shade is providing a slight edge.
Nicky Haslam, a well-known designer, said: “Grey is the new floor colour. We are doing silver metal bonded in to the grain of the wood and metals that look like rippling water.”
His comments were made during an interview with the London Evening Standard about the latest fashions in the industry.
As well as the famous designer proclaiming it the new floor colour grey flooring has proved a hit at the DOMOTEX exhibition last month.
White, blue and grey shades dominated the event, which is known for showcasing the latest trends and technologies for those in the flooring industry.
Options are not limited to solid wood flooring as there are options of grey laminate flooring and engineered floors available on the market too.
And it is not only wood flooring which is becoming popular in grey. Sales of silver and grey carpets and vinyl flooring are also rising as people join the rush for the latest fashion.
