Hardwood flooring a feature of home for sale

A house for sale in the US has hardwood flooring of various kinds among its features.

The home, located in the Vineland area of Philadelphia, has a mixture of customised tiles and hardwood flooring through the house, the Daily Journal reports.

Included in these elements is pine hardwood flooring that was put in place when the home was first built, which is located in the living room.

Elsewhere in the residence, the hardwood flooring has been upgraded with oak and polished.

The hardwood theme is also continued elsewhere, with the cupboards in the kitchen being made of the material.

Homeowner Guy Parente said the overall solidity of the home was the main thing he would miss about it, commenting that it was clearly built to last.

He stated: "Today, the house is 60 years old and it has settled. Whoever built this house didn't cut any corners or spare any expense."

As well as the older home in Philadelphia, hardwood flooring is also present in some modern houses.

This includes a freshly constructed eco-home Chevy Chase in Pennsylvania, which has cherry hardwood installed, the Gazette reported last week.
