A review of a new night entertainment venue in Chicago has praised its hardwood flooring, along with a number of other features.
The floors were noted in Time Out Chicago magazine's comments on Lincoln Hall, which stated: "With it's hardwood floors, disco ball and intimate proportions, it's a beautiful addition to the city's nightlife."
It stated that it was a "pity" when attention shifted to the performers at the hall that evening, Nouvelle Vague.
Such praise may suggest that hardwood flooring is a good addition to a home that may stage parties.
Other buildings featuring hardwood flooring include a townhouse that is up for sale in Toronto.
The loft-style dwelling, which is up for sale at CAD$325,000 (£192,000) has such materials in the floors of the living room, dining room, kitchen, bedroom and closet, the National Post reported last month.
It is located in the heart of the city near the Kensington Markets.
