Hardwood flooring maker unveils sport floor section

A hardwood floor manufacturer has announced the launch of a new division dedicated to the production of surfaces for sporting arenas.

Tarkett Sports already produces such flooring, but has now announced the development of such a section in the company - along with a website - designed to ensure that it offers more expertise and better products.

The firm uses hardwood and synthetic flooring for basketball, volleyball and gymnasium surfaces.

President of Tarkett Sports North America Eric Daliere remarked: "With a new website and team of indoor sports flooring experts supporting the division, we are anticipating tremendous success in the very near future."

The company, which was formed in 1886, noted that it also recycles existing surfaces, with vive of its plants carrying out such work.

Last week, the new hardwood surface for the Williams Arena basketball facility at the University of Minnesota was formally dedicated, with Connor Sport Court International providing the flooring.
