Those wishing to follow the current fashion for all things retro may wish to have hardwood flooring in the home, it has been suggested.
In an article on the subject, the Daily Mirror listed a number of items that a householder can introduce to the home to help bring back the 70s look.
The paper included having a floor "covered in real solid oak wood flooring" as one essential.
Alongside this, it recommended items such as Casadeco Fleur wallpaper, armchairs with linen covers, floral print vases, wood-effect lamps and teal silk cushions.
It then provided a list of stores and suppliers where these items may be found.
Such suggestions may indicate that hardwood flooring is re-emerging as the most fashionable of floor styles.
Hardwood may also be getting more popular in the US, with one maker of such floors reporting improved results.
Lumber Liquidators revealed last month that 2009 saw a 17.6 per cent jump in its income.
