Hardwood flooring tip for apartment renovation

Those looking to renovate their apartments without spending too much money should consider hardwood flooring, an expert has advised.

Real estate investor Mike Heayn told the Santa Monica Daily Press that for those looking to replace a worn-out carpet, hardwood flooring could be the value-for-money answer.

He stated: "Many hardwood laminate floors are extremely durable and have warranties that last ten years or more."

Mr Heayn also stated that hardwood laminate flooring can be bought at a price close to that of high-quality carpet, which he suggested makes it "an easy decision for apartment owners" to decide what to buy.

The advice was particularly aimed at people keen to rent out their apartments, with the intention of furnishing and decorating it well at a low cost, with materials that will last.

Hardwood flooring is forming part of a new development in Canada that includes 200 residences.

South Unionville Square in Unionville will also have 80,000 sq ft of office space and a 300,000 sq ft shopping mall, the Financial Post reported earlier this month.
