Home improvement options 'available to Brits on a budget'

Director at the National Home Improvement Council Andrew Leech explained that those who are on a budget have choices beyond adding extensions.
New flooring could be high on the list of priorities, as he suggested focusing on changes to the interior of a house.
Adding a bathroom could prove to be a popular option, as Mr Leech remarked: "If you have got a big bedroom, with today's modern plumbing technology you can always put an en suite into the bedroom."
Other budget renovations ideas he recommended included adding loft or cavity wall insulation.
Last month, Ratedpeople.com stated that adding a conservatory to a home can increase its value by as much as five per cent - while a similar rise can also be achieved by adding ten per cent to the overall floor space.
