A Canadian firm that makes building and flooring products has launched a new guide to provide consumers with advice about laminate flooring.
BuildDirect has produced an article on the subject, entitled 'Is it right for me?' which it says will supply information irrespective of whether it concerns its own products or somebody else's.
Noting that people are "investing" in laminate flooring and expect it to be in place for a long period of time, co-founder of the firm Rob Banks said: "This article and the rest of our Learning Centre is designed to make sure that consumers get what they want out of their flooring."
The laminate flooring industry has been tipped to see significant growth as the world economy recovers from the recession.
A study by companiesandmarkets.com concluded that the material will be more popular than other surfaces because of its resilience, stain resistance, variety of styles and low price.
