Laminate flooring 'best for basements'

Business Resources advised in favour of the material on the grounds that the environment of such a room is most suited to the material.
It stated that carpet can hold odour more, while concrete is "ugly" on its own and tile is "nice but is costly and difficult to install".
"Basement laminate flooring comes in many different colors and is very long lasting, easy to clean and will not trap moisture", the news source commented.
The portal went on to state that the successful installation of laminate depends on the smoothing and careful levelling of concrete, to provide the necessary base for the material to be laid on.
Interior designer Naoimh Tuohy told readers of the Herald.ie recently that the availability of laminate in a wide variety of shades and colours is one of its advantages, with it being possible for it to look similar to any other floor material.
