The installation of laminate flooring in a kitchen may have helped increase the saleability of a house, it has been reported.
Home design firm Stage One Interiors was called in by homeowner Nina Lubbren to make her Cambridge residence more presentable and one of the measures the company undertook was to put down laminate flooring , the Daily Telegraph reports.
This was installed along with other new kitchen elements like a hob and tiles as the house doctor sought to prepare the residence for the spring market.
In addition to this, most of the rooms in the house had new carpet installed, along with various red furnishings that added a consistent colour theme to the home.
Another example of residential buildings having laminate flooring fitted prior to sale has occurred in California.
The condos in the Metro Place in North York have this material included as construction nears completion, the National Post reported earlier this month.
