Laminate flooring 'ideal' for home offices

Offering tips on the kind of floors to have to readers of the News Observer, editor of Fresh Home Magazine Neil Wertheimer said offices contain furniture that may place a lot of wear and tear on floors, such as desks, chairs and book cases.
Noting these may dent and scratch the surface, he stated: "This [the office] is a room that would do best with laminate flooring, which is sturdy, good-looking, highly durable, easy to install and often inexpensive."
The paper offered different advice for other parts of the house, with cheap carpet tiles an ideal option for homes with teenagers, as individual small squares of the material can be replaced when spillages occur in the living room.
Business Resources recently advised that laminate flooring is ideal for basements, as it does not hold odour in the way carpets do and is easy to maintain.
