Library set for new carpet

A library in the US is set to close for a refurbishment that will include a new carpet being fitted.

Judge George W Armstrong Library in Natchez, Mississippi, will be shutting from March 13th to the 22nd for the fitting of the new carpet, the Natchez Democrat reports.

The replacement of the old surface has been planned since it was damaged by Hurricane Gustav in 2008.

Director Susan Cassagne was quoted by the paper as saying: "The roof has been repaired, the ceiling tiles have been replaced, so the next logical step is getting the carpet down."

The move will see the various blue and green shaded carpets replaced by blue, green, brown and purple carpets.

A library in London is also about to close for a new carpet.

Last month, Camden Council revealed that Holborn Library will be shut for seven days from March 15th, with the carpet and new customer service facilities being installed.
