Life's a beech with kitchen vinyl flooring

Those seeking kitchen vinyl flooring with a wood effect may be interested in the UR Home Woods Sylvatica Warm Beech from RhinoFloor.

It comes in a beech plank effect with the wood image being that of a slightly darker material than normal, although each plank varies in shade and tone from its neighbour to create a varied effect.

Made from 2.5 mm thick vinyl, it has a 0.2 mm wear layer on top and this comes with Rhinogrip coating to make it slip-resistant, a useful quality when the floor is wet due to spillages from the sink or leaks from the dishwasher.

This coating is also designed to make the product resistant to dirt and stains.

It is available in rolls of two, three or four metres, so the right size can be chosen to fit according to the dimensions of the room it is to be laid in.

A similar but slightly different floor in the same range is the UR Home Woods Sylvatica Steamed, which has more in the way of dark markings like knots and grains.
